Masami

Masami has done very well south of Highway-2 with strong rust resistance and strong performance in falling numbers tests. Masami also brings excellent straw-breaker foot rot resistance to the table. It has always been one of the most disease-resistant wheats we have carried, with moderate resistance to cephalosporium stripe.

Targeted to replace Eltan and Madsen in all rainfall zones and replace Rod in low rainfall zones. Resistant to eyespot foot rot. Moderately susceptible to stripe, leaf and stem rust and Cephalosporium. Released 2004, PVP, WSU.
