Otto

A good blending wheat with excellent winter-hardiness. Descended from both Eltan and Madsen, Otto boasts foot rot and stripe rust resistance despite some juvenile susceptibility. Otto’s disease resistance combined with excellent winter survival and snow mold resistance makes it something growers should consider despite middling yield potential.

Late maturity, semi-dwarf, common head type, white straw and glumes and good test weight. Resistant to foot rot and stripe rust. Adapted to low rainfall areas of Washington. Released 2011, PVP, Title V, WSU/USDA-ARS
